When I was playing game on my laptop & suddenly my laptop shut down . Then I restarted my laptop, and it is now working.

But after 30 minutes, the process repeats again.

So I felt we needed to remedy this problem because it was causing me to lose interest in the game.

To fix these issues, I used Google and YouTube videos.

If you are having the exact same problem, I covered all of your concerns in my blog.

So let’s get started on identifying why my laptop suddenly shuts down when playing a game.

Laptop Overheating

The most common problem with any laptop is overheating. When you are playing new and old games that require high specs on your laptop, this is the result of your laptop overheating.

A laptop contains a central processing unit (CPU), a graphics processing unit (GPU), and other components that are primarily used for gaming & video editing.

If you keep playing games on your laptop, the temperature and load on your computer will rise.

Overheating will occur if the heat is not removed and the air vents are blocked.

The outcome will be your laptop suddenly shutting down or harming internal components of your laptop.

Virus Attack

If you are working on a laptop for your office work and your laptop suddenly displays a virus warning. and your laptops start running slowly and take longer to work the programs that you are using.

If your device unexpectedly shuts down or restarts.

Then you’d consider whether your laptop has been infected with malware or viruses.

PSU Problems

This is the 3rd and most important reason your laptop unexpectedly shuts down while playing a game. A power supply (PSU) is an electrical device which is another factor  in laptop shutdown.

When a gaming laptop’s power supply fails for any reason, it will instantly shut down and stop working.

The disadvantage of automatically shutting down is that it may damage the hardware on your laptop.

If you have just fitted a new graphics card but are using an older power supply unit (PSU).Because new graphics cards require more power to operate all components within the device.

Incompatible or outdated drivers can lead to sudden system crashes.

Operating System Glitches:

System files or OS errors can trigger sudden shutdowns, particularly under stress.

High Disk Usage:

If the game is stored on a nearly full or slow hard drive, it can cause sudden shutdowns.

Background Applications:

Resource-intensive background apps can push your system to its limits.

Reinstall OS:

If software issues persist, a fresh OS installation might help.

Professional Cleaning:

Have a professional clean the internal components of your laptop.
